The Manchester School District has heard from many schools since Monday that students are seeing a
restricted screen etc. when trying to access programs on the Chromebooks. They would like to thank everyone who brought this issue to their attention and for your patience as they worked to find a solution to the
issue. The District has announced the steps to fix this issue: First
the student will need to click on the three dots below the close button
(upper right hand corner of the screen) and select Settings. Then in Settings on the left side of the page, they will click the drop down button next to Advanced. Then they will need to select Reset settings. On the Reset setting page, they will click Restore settings to their original defaults. This will clear the bad data. The screen may go black for a moment, this is normal on some models of Chromebook. The
student may then need to logout of the Chromebook by clicking the in
the lower right corner where the time is displayed and then clicking on
the Sign out button. They would then log back in, all websites and applications should behave how they are expected to. |
