Contactless Library Book Delivery during remote learning

While school is in remote learning mode the library at Central remains closed to students, but we are pleased to announce the start of our contactless library book delivery service.

This service is only available for library books from Central, and is limited to our current students.

First, search our catalog for a book that you would like.  We can only deliver library books that are from Central's library.

The process for contactless curbside:

  • Requests for materials must be placed via our online online form or by calling the library (603) 624-6363 ext. 1120 for us to pull the book for you as the building will still be closed to the public.

  • Library staff will notify patrons when their items are ready for pickup, and determine a date and time to schedule a contactless book delivery in the school’s courtyard, near the Lincoln statue, outside the main office on Beech Street.

  • Before arrival in the courtyard, you will need to call the library at 603-624-6363 ext. 1120  and a librarian will bring out your pre-packaged materials and place them on the statue at Lincoln’s feet.  If you do not have a cell phone Library Staff can make other arrangements for you to pick up your items at a specific time.

  • Once the Librarian is back in the building, you may approach the statue, and take your package from the spot at Mr. Lincoln’s feet!

While our reopening plans continue, please continue to enjoy all of our online Digital Resources and the info, hints, tips, and tricks we are constantly posting in our Announcements.  We look forward to opening our school's library again, hopefully in late October! Please see our Frequently Asked Questions below for additional information.

When will the library and the school building open? How will it re-open?

We are looking at developing a phased plan for reopening the library. We are committed to following all directives and mandates of the Manchester School District.  Our first priority is always the safety of our students, faculty, and staff.

Can I return my books?

Please continue to hold on to any library books and please DO NOT RETURN any library books just yet.  We are still not charging fines and all materials will eventually be checked back in once students are allowed to return to school.

Can I still donate books?

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, donations are suspended until further notice.
